Privacy Policy

1. Data We Collect

When you use TextTruth, the text you submit is sent to Google's Gemini AI for analysis. Your submitted content exists only in server memory during processing and is immediately discarded — we never store it. We do collect the following minimal data:

• Your email address when you sign in with Google (used for account management and subscription status)
• Subscription and payment status (managed by Dodo Payments)
• Anonymous usage analytics (page views, feature usage)
• A local analysis history stored in your browser's localStorage (not on our servers)
• Temporary analysis results stored in your browser's sessionStorage during your visit (cleared when you close the tab)

2. AI Data Processing — Zero Retention

Your submitted text and/or screenshots are sent to Google Vertex AI (Gemini) for real-time analysis. The entire pipeline is in-memory: your content is held in RAM only for the duration of the API call, then permanently destroyed. No copies are made. No logs are written. No backups exist. Google's data processing is governed by their own privacy policy and terms of service. We do not use your submitted content for model training or any purposes beyond generating your immediate analysis result.

3. Data Storage — What We Store vs. What We Don't

We NEVER store: your chat text, screenshots, images, analysis results, or any user-generated content. These exist only in server RAM during processing and vanish immediately.

We DO store (minimal operational data only): rate-limiting counters, subscription status flags, and usage counts — via Upstash (Redis-based cloud storage). This data is associated with your email address, contains zero conversation content, and is automatically expired with a TTL.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Google Gemini AI (Vertex AI) — processes your submitted text and images for analysis (subject to Google's privacy policy)
• Google Analytics — anonymous usage analytics with IP anonymization enabled (only activated with your cookie consent)
• Dodo Payments — payment processing as Merchant of Record (handles all payment data under PCI DSS compliance)
• Google OAuth — authentication (we receive your email and display name)
• Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection (no personal data processed)
• Upstash — operational data storage (rate limits, subscription flags)

5. Cookies

We use cookies for essential functionality (language preference, session management, subscription verification) and optional analytics cookies (Google Analytics) that are only activated with your explicit consent via our cookie banner. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.

6. Payments

Payment processing is handled entirely by Dodo Payments (dodopayments.com), who acts as the Merchant of Record for all purchases. We never see or store your payment card details. Dodo Payments handles all payment data in compliance with PCI DSS standards. Your payment relationship is with Dodo Payments, not directly with TextTruth.

7. Data Transmission

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We do not use end-to-end encryption for analysis content — your text is decrypted on our server to be sent to the AI model. We take reasonable measures to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

You can request deletion of your account data (email, subscription info) at any time by contacting us. Browser-stored analysis history can be cleared by you directly. If you have questions or requests regarding your data, contact us at hello@celvion.org.
